For brothers Theo and Luke, the flavors

of Greece aren’t just a cuisine – they’re

a cherished part of their heritage.

Third-generation Greek Americans,

born and raised right here in Portland,

their connection to their roots runs

deep. Anchored in the vibrant

community of Holy Trinity Greek

Orthodox Cathedral on Glisan Street,

they began Greek dancing from the

time they could walk, and participated

in numerous aspects of the community.

Some of their fondest childhood

memories revolve around the church’s

annual Greek Festival. In between

dance performances and working the

booths, one festivity always stood out:

Loukoumades. These golden, honey-

coated puffs were a family affair, a

delicious tradition shared with their

sister and beloved grandparents year

after year. It was during these sweet

moments that a dream began to

simmer – to one day share the joy of

authentic loukoumades with the wider

Portland community, not just for a few

days a year, but year-round.

Now, that dream has become a reality.

Theo and Luke, though young, are no

strangers to the hustle and bustle of

the food service industry. They’ve

honed their skills and learned the

importance of friendly and efficient

service without ever compromising on

quality.

At our truck, you can expect that same

dedication. We’re passionate about

bringing you the freshest, most

delicious loukoumades, prepared with

care and served with a smile. More than

just a food truck, we’re sharing a piece

of our history and our love for our

culture, one bite at a time.

So, who is Yanni? Well, Yanni, or Ιωάννης, is our Papou – that’s grandfather in Greek. His life story is quite remarkable: he was forced to flee his mountain village during World War II, went on to become a Lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Navy, and then dedicated his career to child psychiatry as he and our Yiayia (grandmother) settled in Portland, Oregon.
